The Upledger Institute Hong Kong is committed to promoting wellness and enhancing personal health through the study and practice of craniosacral therapy. Since the introduction of CST in Hong Kong, interest in Upledger's methods has flourished. Practitioners are increasingly utilizing his techniques, allowing more individuals to experience the benefits of CST for various conditions, including chronic pain, stress, and trauma.

What is CST?

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a lighttouch, manual therapy that releases tensions and restrictions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve overall health

What can I expect during a treatment session?
A typical CST session lasts from 45-60 minutes, and takes place in a quiet setting. CST is performed with the client fully clothed and lying on a comfortable massage table. Using a light touch, the therapist evaluates or “listens to” the body for tension patterns and imbalances.

Gilbert graduated with a degree in Physiotherapy in 2002. He believes in the body's innate healing power and is always seeking better ways to promote health and well-being for his clients. Early in his career, while working in an elderly center, Gilbert was introduced to Craniosacral Therapy, which transformed his life. This experience set him on a path to healing his own developmental trauma and PTSD, positively changing how he relates to others and enhancing his overall health and well-being. These personal journeys have expanded his perspective on the connection between the mind, body, and spirit. With 20+ years of clinical experience, Gilbert has found that manual touch, particularly CST, can effectively address a wide variety of health issues.

Gilbert is the first and only individual to achieve the CST-D certification at the Upledger Institute International in Hong Kong. He is currently undergoing mentorship to become a qualified instructor for the CS1 course at the Upledger Institute International. Additionally, Gilbert teaches the foundational course in Craniosacral Therapy and has served as a teaching assistant and translator for various CST classes over the years.

Dr. Oleksandr Izbash

Oleksandr is a CranioSacral Therapist, Osteopath, and international instructor currently teaching CST 1, CST 2, and SER 1. His first degree is in Medicine, specialising in obstetrics and gynaecology. After completing his D.O., he developed his own course on osteopathic approaches to women's health management. Alongside CST, he teaches workshops in osteopathy and other manual therapy approaches. He is always learning, with a current focus on shamanic medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine and diving deeper into consciousness study. Outside of practice, he enjoys travel, reading, psychology, and exploring effective communication.
